Double-U-shaped heating tube

 

Double-U-shaped heating tubes are a common type of electric heating element. They consist of a metal tube filled with thermally conductive and insulating magnesium oxide powder and evenly distributed high-temperature resistance wires. These tubes are connected to a power source via lead wires at both ends, converting electrical energy into heat. They are widely used in heating liquids, acids, bases, salts, and low-melting-point metals, as well as in industrial molds and ovens. These heating tubes feature a simple structure, high thermal efficiency, excellent mechanical strength, strong adaptability, rapid heating, uniform heat generation, and a long service life.

 

Construction and Principle
Structure: Double-U-shaped heating tubes utilize a seamless metal tube (such as stainless steel or copper) as their outer shell. A spiral of high-quality heating alloy wires is evenly distributed within the tube, and the gaps between the wires and the metal tube wall are filled with crystalline magnesium oxide powder, which has excellent thermal conductivity and insulation properties.
Operating Principle: When current flows through the heating wires, the resistance wires generate heat. This heat is then transferred to the surface of the metal tube through the highly conductive magnesium oxide powder and then to the object or air being heated, achieving heating.
