Spiral heating tube

A spiral heating element is an electric heating device with a spiral heating element wrapped around the inside or outside of a metal tube. It features high heating efficiency, excellent heat transfer, and a wide range of applications. This design enables it to effectively heat gases, liquids, or other media, and is commonly used to heat industrial media such as air, water, and oil.

 

Structural Components:

1. A metal tube, typically made of stainless steel, with a uniformly distributed resistance wire inside.

2. A heating element, forming the core of the heating element, typically a spiral coil made of a high-resistance alloy or graphite.

3. Magnesium oxide powder, filling the gap between the resistance wire and the metal tube, acts as a conductor and insulator, evenly transferring heat to the metal tube surface.

4. A flow guide system (used in some spiral heating elements): A central screw with spiral flow guide grooves creates a turbulent mixing effect during fluid heating.

5. A sealing and protective assembly, including a rubber seal and silicone gasket, as well as an insulating air layer, ensures safety and improves efficiency.

 

Working Principle
1. Electric current passes through a spiral resistance wire inside a metal tube, generating Joule heating.
2. This heat is diffused to the metal tube surface through the highly thermally conductive magnesium oxide powder.
3. The heat on the metal tube surface is then transferred to the heated medium (such as air, water, or oil), thereby achieving heating.
